I can't believe Emma is 9 already. Time goes so quickly. For her birthday party she invited a few friends to go ice skating. For many of them it was their first time. After skating, we returned home for chili and games. Emma, being Emma, organized her friends into teams for the games based on the multiplication facts that they could answer correctly.

Emma also surprised us one day by reporting "The Most Fun Thing Ever Done at Recess". She explained that for recess that day (it was an inside-snow day) she and some friends, (boys and girls) sat in a circle, knee to knee, creating long division problems on white boards and passing them around the circle for each other to solve. Go Figure!

We are proud of Emma and love her very much! She is very thoughtful of others and kind to her brother and sister. She always takes the time to read chapter books to Eve as they fall asleep. Eve is one of her best friends. Hyrum loves Emma too.
